The leaflets were distributed to targeted areas within Bearsden which were chosen by the client based on a combination of their local knowledge and our generic demographic information. We used our software to calculate the number of houses in each area which enabled us to ensure that we had enough leaflets to cover the areas identified by our client.
By taking this very targeted approach to distributing their leaflets we were hoping to improve the response rate to the leaflet.
The leaflet was printed on high quality paper which was important as it gave the feeling of quality which one would expect from an art gallery. The colour and content of the leaflet also matched the nature of the event which means that it is likely to appeal to those who are most interested in the subject – art in this case.
From a leaflet distribution perspective, the main challenge was the nature of the areas into which they were being distributed as they were mostly large houses that are set back off of the road which means that it takes longer to complete.
