This was the first Newsletter that Neilston Development Trust (NDT) published after the restrictions imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic were eased. As a result, there was much more news than normal and it was decided that they wanted to print an 8 page newsletter instead of the normal 4 pages.
The newsletter was, therefore, made up of two sheets of A3 folded in half to A4 and stapled, Even though it was double the normal size, we agreed that it was appropriate to print on a good quality 150gsm stock. This is a better quality of paper stock that we would normally recommend for an 8 page newsletter but our client felt that it would be appropriate for this ‘special’ version of the newsletter.
The newsletter was distributed to all residences and businesses in Neilston, which is a village close to Barrhead in East Renfrewshire.
Since this newsletter was to be distributed to all households and businesses in Neilston, it was effectively a boundary distribution where we had to work within the boundary that is set out by the village itself.
The fact that this newsletter is intended to help engage the local community with issues that affect them and that it contains informative that is both informative and useful to the people living in Neilston, it was important that everyone received it. We used our GPS tracking system to ensure that all of the houses in the village received it.
This also meant that we were able to provide our client with an accurate report, showing exactly where the newsletter had been distributed to.
