We were asked to distribute a newsletter that was in the form of a newspaper for BoConcept, one of Glasgow’s premier furniture stores. They offer a wide range of contemporary Danish designed furniture from their store in are based in Sauchiehall Street in the city centre.
In order to identify the best areas to distribute their newsletter, we used their postcode data to run a demographic analysis of their existing customer-base. The fact that we did not use any customer data means that there were no GDPR issues, which is important for us and for our client.
This analysis enables us to create a map of where their current customers live, as well as identifying the demographic types of their customers. This enables us to plot where people who are most like their existing customers live. Using customer data to target leaflet distribution helped us to identify the best areas into which to distribute these newsletters.
The leaflets were distributed in targeted areas in the West End of Glasgow. The newsletters were in the form of a 12 page newspaper which was quite unique in terms of marketing material. It did, however, present us with some challenges with the distribution due to their size and weight.
We managed to distribute the newsletters in the relevant areas within our client’s timescale.
