New hosing developments are continually being build and we are often required to distributed leaflets into these areas. The challenge is that distributing to new housing development, especially very large ones, is that our distributers to not have any maps to follow. So how do we deal with distributing leaflets into these new developments?
Firstly we only use experienced distributers who are able to navigate areas that are not on their distribution maps.
Secondly, where possible, we use Google Maps to get an idea of the layout of the area before starting the job.
Finally, since all of our leaflet distributer carry a GPS device, we can use our GPS tracking system combined with our mapping software to effectively create a map of the area as the distributers delivered to.
The maps on the left show the GPS track for an area that was not mapped and below it you can see how we used the GPS track to create a map of the area that we keep for future reference so that we have a reference map for the next time we deliver leaflets in the area.
Since new housing development will not be included in our Regional Analysis System, they will not be included in the calculation of the number of houses in the area. For this reason, we count the number of houses in the new area so that we can ensure that they are taken into account when calculating how many houses are in a distribution area.
This process shows the attention to detail that we apply to all of our leaflet distribution process to ensure that we always give our clients the best advice, based on the most up to date information that we have.
