Our client for this job was a PR Company who are managing communication regarding the proposal to build a new retirement development in the area. Part of this communication was to invite the residents who live within a 1/2 mile radius from the proposed construction site in Bishopbriggs to a public exhibition.
We used our specialist distribution software to estimate the number of residences and businesses that were located within a 1/2 mile radius of the proposed development site. This was further refined to extend the distribution areas to include full streets where the radius crossed a street.
In addition to distributing the newsletters, we were asked to print the relevant documents which consisted of an A4 leaflet folded to A5 which was printed on 130gsm paper and a DL sized pre-paid reply card which was printed on 350gsm card.
In order to ensure that both items were delivered together we inserted the reply card into the folded leaflet.
After the distribution was completed, we provided our client with a map showing the area that the leaflets were distributed to in Bishopbriggs, along with a report listing the few houses that we could not deliver the newsletter to. These are standard reports that we supply to every client after a distribution. In most cases they serve to reinforce the quality of the work that we do. In these circumstances, where the delivery is critical to the client, this information is vital to providing the client with information that they can take to interested groups to prove that best efforts were made to ensure that the local community were kept informed.
