Having successfully completed a large leaflet campaign for Mackie Pharmacies in various areas of Glasgow, Paisley and Lanarkshire, we were asked to run a campaign for their sister company, Mackie Pharmacy Dumbarton. This consisted of designing, printing and distributing a leaflet. The leaflets were distributed throughout Dumbarton, as well Milton and parts of Alexandria.
Like the other campaign, this was promoting their exciting new automated prescription collection point. This ‘robotic’ system enables their customers to collect their prescription from the automate collection point at their own convenience 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Once the customer registers for the service, their prescriptions are picked up from their GP. When ready, the customer receives a text message with a PIN number which allows them to collect their medication from the machine.
The design of the front of this leaflet was based on the original leaflets that was designed for Mackies Pharmacies. The design is intended to to classy with a futuristic feel. To achieve this, we made use of the hexagon shapes that are on the machine. The reverse side of this leaflet was a registration form which made it easy for people to register for this unique service.
The leaflet was printed on high quality 350gsm card which is a high quality. This was chosen to ensure that it gave a quality feel to match the quality of the service that they provide. In addition, this weight of card allows the leaflets to be delivered through most letterboxes without bending.
This job was carries out over the space of a few weeks so we had to manage the distribution very carefully to ensure that we distributed the leaflets to the correct areas, as well as ensuring that all of the streets were distributed to. We used our GPS tracking system to help us to keep track of what area the leaflets were distributed to and when.
This leaflet distribution coincided with a TV advertising campaign that our client had been running. Running a leaflet distribution campaign alongside TV or radio advertising can be highly effective and helps to improve the response rates. This is because when a person receives a leaflet when the have seen or heard the advert it make a stronger connection in the customer’s mind. This helps to increase awareness and therefore improves response rates.
