The leaflet was promoting Beds Shawlands summer sale. We designed it as an A4 folded leaflet. The finished size was A5.
We used a folded leaflet because our client wanted to provide details of the offers. To do this on a ‘standard’ double sided leaflet would have made it too cluttered. Creating a folded leaflet allowed us to keep the design clean while including all of the relevant information on the inside (see below).
The leaflet was printed on 150gsm stock. This is a slightly lighter stock than we normally recommend (which is 250gsm). The folded leaflet helped as the finished quality of the paper is better than 150gsm.
Having distributed leaflets for this shop in the past, our client wanted us to continue from where we left off. The fact that we keep maps from every leaflet distribution job that we do helped to identify where to start this distribution.
We used our generic demographic data to identify they types of residence that they wanted to target. This allowed us to create maps of the areas the leaflets were to be distributed to.
Using our GPS tracking information we kept track of the distribution. This allowed us to add new areas we the job progressed. It also enabled us to keep the client up to date with progress. This allowed them to monitor the response rates as the leaflet distribution progressed.
Measuring response rates is a very important aspect of any leaflet distribution campaign. Our client used the date when the leaflets were distributed vs number of customers to do this. They also kept not of the number of people who visited the store with the leaflet.
