We were asked by The Village Storytelling Centre to print and distribute leaflets to residences in the Pollok area of Glasgow. We were also asked to print and distribute posters to businesses, libraries, community centres and other public buildings in the area.
The leaflet distribution area was specified by our client and was a very specific boundary distribution which meant that we had to map the area carefully and also ensure that our distributers stayed within the boundary.
The leaflets and posters we distributers were promoting drop in events throughout May celebrating the 80th anniversary of Pollok social housing. In particular they were looking to speak with people from the Pollok, Crookston and Corkerhill areas of Glasgow to hear their stories.
I addition they were promoting a pop up exhibition of all things local, including films and artwork from the local community, will be held in the community centre on 6th May.
The leaflets were distributed to houses in the area. The posters were a little more difficult as we had to locate places where they could be displayed and then visit each location and ask if they would be willing to put the posters up. This is not a service that we normally offer but were happy to do it on this occasion as it was promoting a worthy cause and helping the local community.
Our client was pleased with the work that we did and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
