We recently completed a leaflet distribution for the David Lloyd Renfrew Club. The leaflet was distributed to a new housing development called Ferry Village, as well as Bishopton (where is also a large new housing estate), Inchinnan and Erskine. The main challenge with distributing to new build areas is that there is no way of knowing exactly how many houses are in the area. In addition, there is no official map for our leaflet distributers to follow.
Fortunately we had previously distributed to these areas and therefore knew how many residences are in the new developments. In addition, the fact that we use GPS Tracking means that we are able to record the layout of streets and then transfer that onto a map for future use. This is a very useful tool when managing these types of jobs. See our article entitled “How do you control leaflet distribution to new housing estates where there is no map of the area” for further information.
The leaflet was promoting a 14 day family pass to the club during the summer school holidays with lots of activities available for all of the family.
We used our demographic profiling system to identify where families who fell into their ideal customer category were likely to live and distributed their leaflets to those areas. Our client was very please with the results as they got an immediate response to the leaflet and continued to get enquiries for weeks afterwards.
