These included the Glasgow Central Gym in Finnieston Street, the West End Gym in Minerva Street which was formally Virgin Health.
The Glasgow Central and West End gyms did not have any specific demographic targets so we distributed their leaflets in a close proximity to the gyms in the West End of Glasgow, ensuring that we . The main issue was that the clubs are close together so we had to be careful to ensure that the leaflets were distributed in a way that benefited both clubs and did also that the areas did not overlap.
We were able to identify these areas using generic demographic information that we have for the whole of Scotland. This is only one type of generic demographic that we have – we can basically identify areas where any types of person lives. This allows us to target specific types of people for our clients, ensuring that their leaflets are distributed to areas where the people who are most likely to be interested in their products or services live.
At the time the leaflets were distributed Nuffield Health were also running adverts on TV. This is an ideal time to distribute leaflets as it not only reinforces the message that people see on TV but also associates it with the local club.
