Our client had a limited budget and wanted to distributed a relatively small number of leaflets to new houses in the Stepps and Robroyston areas. In addition to distributing the leaflets, the wanted us to print them. They were printed on good quality 250gsm paper which is our preferred stock. This is because it is of a thickness that give it a quality feel and also makes it easier to post through letterboxes without having to fold them.
The leaflet was not only promoting the advantages of solar power but were also advising that the ‘Feed in Tariff’ is due to end at the end of the month.
The Feed-in Tariffs (FIT) scheme is a government programme designed to promote the uptake of renewable and low-carbon electricity generation technologies.
The biggest challenge that this leaflet distribution job posed was the fact that out client was very specific about the fact that they wanted to target newer housing in a specific area. The main issue was that may of these new new housing estates so there were no maps available and had we not had knowledge of the area from previous leaflet distribution jobs we would not have known that they existed.
The fact that we use GPS tracking enables us to create maps of new areas that do not exist in our mapping software which then allows us to not only identify them but to create maps of the area for out distributors to follow.
This job was certainly the most challenging this respect since our client wanted to target very specific areas, most of which were made entirely of part of new housing estates, some of which were still being built. In the areas where new housing had been built, we were able to use the data gathered from our GPS tracks to add to the maps that we had already created which will be in future leaflet distribution jobs in the area.
