We printed and delivered a letter to homes and businesses within a 200m radius from the M8 between Baillieston and Junction 10 of the M8 motorway. This is the latest in a series of distribution jobs that we have completed for Scottish Roads Partnership who are managing the M73, M74 and M8 motorway improvement projects on behalf of Transport Scotland.
The purpose of this letter was to advise local residents and businesses living and working within a 200m radius of the motorway of road works that were taking place on the M8 Motorway.
The Challenge
There were two issues that had to be dealt with before starting the distribution. Firstly we had to identify the area covered by the 200m radius from the M8 motorway. Secondly, we then had to work out how many houses and businesses were located within the defined area.
The Solution
We were able to use our specialised mapping software to create the 200m area. Having done that, we used our distribution support software to calculate an approximations of the number of residences and businesses within the relevant area.
The Outcome
Having identified the area and printed the letters, we distributed them to all of the houses and businesses. The map shows the distribution area, along with the streets in which the letters were distributed.
Our client was very happy with the results and we are looking forward to working with them again in the near future.
