We just completed distributing letters to residential properties and businesses on behalf of Scottish Water in a large area of Coatbridge in North Lanarkshire.
The letter was advising residents of upcoming works that may affect the quality of their water for a short period of time.
This was a relatively straightforward leaflet distribution job with a few more challenges. The first challenge was to ensure that were had an accurate map of the area to be distributed to. We were provided with a list of addresses of the residences in the relevant area. We used the postcodes contained within the data to plot the location of each. This gave us the basic outline of the distribution area and allowed us to create a details map of the area that our distributors used to complete the distribution.
The second challenge was that the job has to be completed at least two days before the works were due to start so were working to a fairly tight and immovable deadline. This meant that we had to plan our distribution carefully to ensure that it was completed on time.
The final challenge was to ensure that all of the residences in the area were delivered to. Since this is a standard aspect of our leaflet distribution procedures, this was not an issue. We used our GPS Tracking System to check the areas where the letters were distributed against the main control map to ensure that all of the streets were covered.
The job was completed on time and in budget and our client was very pleased with the professionalism and accuracy of our service.
