South Lanarkshire Council Newsletter Distributed in Hamilton & Cambuslang

We distributed the Spring edition of ‘The Reporter’ Publication produced by South Lanarkshire Council informing all residents of services and updating on the financial performance of the Council.

The 48 page magazine was distributed in three areas Hamilton – ML3-9 ,  Cambuslang – G72-7 and G72-8.  This was what w call a ‘Boundary Distribution’ whereby we had to adhere to strict boundaries based on these postcode districts.

The challenges this job were firstly to ensure that we worked within the correct area boundaries and also dealing with the relatively large documents.  Magazines presented a logistical challenge due to their size and weight.

We managed to deal with the first issue by ensuring that we created accurate maps and ensuring our distributers followed the maps carefully.  The second issue was resolved by resupplying our distributers regularly.

We were also given a very tight deadline for completing the job and worked closely with our client to ensure that we were able to cope with the workload and complete the job on time.

We used our postcode data software to not only ensure the postcode sectors were mapped properly but also to confirm the number of residences in each area.

The job was completed on time and we are please to have been asked to undertake this distribution for South Lanarkshire Council.
