This is the third time 2112 Leaflet Distribution have distributed the Action Old Kilpatrick (AOK) newsletter and we are pleased to have been entrusted with this distribution again. Old Kilpatrick is a village close to the Erskine Bridge to the west for Clydebank in the G60 area of West Dumbartonshire.
The newsletter was double sided A4 sized. This is quite a large leaflet so we had the choice of printing it as a folded (A4 to A5) leaflet on a lighter paper or leave it as an unfolded leaflet but print on a heavier stock. It was more cost-effective to print it unfolded on 250gsm stock, to we did it that way. The reason that we had to use the heavier stock is that it allows it to go through letterboxes without crumpling.
The Newsletter, which was distributed to all of the residences in the village. It gave people in the local community information about what is happening in the area, as well as information about future events.
The distribution area encompassed the boundary of the village. We had to take some care to ensure that we were clear about the boundary as the village essentially merges with the start of Clydebank.
Action Old Kilpatrick (AOK) was set up by local residents in early 2015, who wanted to protect and support the village. AOK focuses on three primary areas – the environment, horticulture and local history (it has part of the Antonine Wall running through it, for example).
The focus of this newsletter on the flower beds that are located in various areas of the village, including the station which won a bronze award is the Station of the Year category at the Scotrail in the community awards.
At 2112 Leaflet Distribution, we are always happy to work with local community groups to help them distribute information about their activities and promote the purpose of the groups.
