The questionnaire related to a proposed development of 100 new homes in Waterfoot which is close to Newton Mearns in East Renfrewshire. The proposed development is to create a range of houses to allow families of all sizes to settle down locally in affordable housing.
Part of the proposed plan includes options to deliver new community facilities and provide accessible open space. As part of the consultation process, this questionnaire was designed to obtain the views of local people regarding how the proposed new development can make Waterfoot a better and more balanced community.
Like many of these PR and Public Information jobs, the information that we are delivering can be emotive and can raise emotions (positive and negative) in the people who receive this information. While our job is very much to simply deliver the leaflets, it is very important that we remain neutral and sensitive to feelings of the people receiving them.
We printed the questionnaire (which was in the form of an A5 sized double sided postcard with on side being an addressed postage paid return form) on 350gsm card so that it was durable and suitable to be posted back to the PR agency. These questionnaires were distributed to all of the household in Waterfoot.
It is with regret that we have taken the decision to close our offices and suspend Leaflet Distribution until further notice.
We have taken this decision to protect our staff, clients and the general public from the spread of the Coronavirus.
We apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Our Leaflet Distribution Service will resume as soon as we deem it to be safe to do so.
