As a minimum you should receive a map showing the area into which your leaflets have been distributed. Less professional companies will simply supply a hand-written map highlighting the streets where your leaflets were distributed. The better companies will provide an detailed map and a list of non-deliveries, along with the reason why the leaflet could not be delivered to a particular property.
Some companies now offer reports that are generated by tracking their distributors using GPS loggers. You should be careful that these systems are not just gimmicks. There are a number of these systems in existence but many are designed for delivery vehicles rather than people walking doing door-to-door distribution. Make sure that the system has been designed specifically for door-to-door distribution.
